SSD Tray /Egg on Face/Kudos Lian Li

There is so much egg on my face I must loook like an egg.

After all my grousing about non-standard screws for attaching 3.5 to 2.5 SSD adapter trays --- today after an awful struggle to get the OCZ Vertex mounted in the PC-B25F case floppy adapter tray I removed the hard drive tray mounting bracket from the case to give me more room to try and neaten wires and get the power and signal plugs to the Vertex. With the mounting assembly removed I discovered that what I thought was just a strengthening (sp?) platform about midway up the 6 HDD bay mounting assembly had four nice little holes drilled in it in the exact places needed to screw down an SSD to the platform with proper access to the power and signal cables. The little holes were even counter sunk on the bottom side so the SSD mounting screws would be flush with the bottom of the shelf.

Gee gollys - I didn't need and adapter tray for the first Intel SSD. Lian Li had provided for at least one SSD installation without making any mention of it in the case literature. And I
looked at the HDD mounting module and assumed it would have to have an adapter tray for an SSD. There goes that word again ASSUME.

Yup, Lian Li has done that for all their recent cases that use HDD trays (PC-7FN, PC-60FN, PC-8FIB, etc).
