SSD space reamaining not updating or incorrect?

My Crucial SSD C drive shows only 9GB left but there are no files left in my User directory where I had some pictures before moving to my other drive. It seems like the Crucial SSD did not update in some way to show this free space. How can I correct this?...thank you for any ideas.

The free space shown is a factor of the filesystem in use, not the device below it. If it's really not showing free space you need to run chkdsk on Windows or fsck on Linux on the filesystem in question.

Checkdisk is the answer with the file recovery option.
