Hello,
I'm having low performance on my new Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD.
My two SSD are plugged in the white SATA 3 6GB/s port.
I have a brand new Sata 3 6GB/s cable for my Samsung 850 PRO.
Here's my low performance on my 850 PRO : http://i.imgur.com/AT6nBmN.png
Does my PSU is too bad ?
I'm in AHCI in the BIOS.

I have an 850 Pro 1TB SSD, and I get well over 500 MB/s in both read and write so something is definitely up with yours.

Do you have Intel RST installed? If not, install it and then click on manage, then advanced, and take a screenshot. That will tell you if you really are running in SATA 3 mode..

Make you're plugged into the SATA III ports and not SATA II. I wouldn't pay attention to the color but the port designations.

SATA 0/1 are the ports you'll want to be plugged into as SATA 2-5 are SATA II and then you get another set (slower) SATA III ports on SATA 6/7

Make sure you're using the Intel SATA ports and not the Marvel SATA ports. Had this exact problem with my Vertex 4. The Marvel ports are simply not as fast as the Intel ports, even though they're SATA 3

I only have 2 SATA 6GB/S ! If they are marvel or not. I don't have more SATA 6GB/S port !! Do I have to change my MOBO ?

I'll shut off and place HDD on SATA 3 and my SSD on my SATA 2 ports. I'll be right back with a benchmark soon !

They got -100MB's write and -100MB's read with my changed port. I'll revert that .. I have like 265MB/s write and 256MB/s read on my 850 Pro and OCZ.

You have to have it connected to the wrong SATA 3 port. That's the only logical explanation.

I checked Gigabyte's website, and your board has FOUR SATA 3 ports. Two Marvell, and two Intel..

Like hawtdawg said, make sure you're using the Intel and not the Marvell ports..

Check your motherboard manual to see which one is which.

Hell yeah ! This is working fine !
I have an other question.
Samsung 850 PRO OS + Games
OCZ Vertex for EXTRA GAMES
or
OCZ Vertex OS
Samsung 850 PRO Games
I want the best performance for my games.

What are your scores now?

If you want the best performance for your games, then I'd definitely load them on the Samsung 850 Pro as it's much faster. I'd also put the OS on the 850 pro as well..

If it were me, I'd use the Samsung 850 Pro for the OS and newer games which are more system intensive. For older games, I'd use the Vertex..

That was wayyyy too close to SATA2 speeds to not be in those ports. Glad you found the issue :)
