That any stated differences in market tier are being ignored, intentionally, as are value-adds unlikely to be used. There are several other good drives that would be fine to buy, as well, such as the Ultra Plus, and Q (THNSNH). But, Crucial has decided to offer good drives with aggressive pricing, and the prices are the main difference.Your post doesn't make sense. On one hand you are saying there is little value in the Pro drives over the EVO but then on the other that the EVO is being intentionally ignored?
What differences there are between the drives are minimal, and mostly warranty-related. We might get the MLC, but even then, it will be rare the person that actually gets anywhere near close to wearing it out. And, if you might, you'd have been just as well off with any number of MLC drives cheaper than the 840 Pro. Unless you really want the warranty for business reasons, or really want the software, Samsung has their drives priced according to their marketing efforts much more than their merits.
