Alright appreciate the time you guys are taking to answer my questions on it. So I'm planning on investing in a Intel X-25M 160 gig ssd (for OS, Apps, and games for the boost in load times, etc). I've been reading up on them, but a number of things weren't clear.
Does the drive Support idle garbage collection, if so with Trim is there even a point to over-provisioning?
if it doesn't support it I understand the general idea of over-provisioning (a free space to draw from when the drive gets full) but seems like that space would get full rather quickly, can anyone shine light on that?
Any particular optimizations that I should really do besides removing stuff like system restore (I think it saved me once, but if I really want system restore I can always relocate it to my bigger backup drives.)
