SSD on nVidia 9400m Chipset

Hello everyone!

I tried asking this on a couple SSD maker forums but go no replys.

I've got a Dell Studio 14z laptop. It's got Win7 x64 on it, an Intel Core 2 Duo in it, mated to the 9400m chipset/graphics.

I'm considering droping a new SSD in it, but I've read on the internet TRIM is not supported on nVidia chipsets and the performance is noticably slower than other chipsets.
Is this true? The info I found is from late 2008 when SSDs were getting popular and before this computer and windows 7 came out.
Any help?
Thanks in advance!😀

so what? even if that is still true, ssd will smoke the piss out of any hard drive you have in there by a long shot: LATENCY

go for it man you will never regret it. I put an X2-M in a P4-2.8 HT (yes that old) and it pulls 250mb/s reads and is hella fast now.
