I have a Lenovo T410 with a single SSD. I added a second in the optical drive bay but have a problem. The laptop sees it no problem but it appears that it thinks its an external drive. As our company requires encryption on all drives I have a problem since the crap they use to do the encryption doesn't support NTFS on external drives and when you encrypt it converts to FAT32 leaving me with all sorts of problems with my virtual machines!.

Since I can't change the company software and can't change the file sizes of the virtual images I have to keep the drive unencrypted.

I have colleagues who have the same set up and they have both drives recognised as internal drives.

Anyone any idea what I can do about this?

Thanks
