Hello,

This is Crucial m500 120GB and works as a system drive since 2013 in my nas.
CrystalDiskInfo shows 685 working days and about 11TB writes.
Health status: good, remaining life 33%. So it means - two working years used this drive in 67%.

Additional info: paging file was set to this drive.

According to this information - this drive should be in working order during only next 12 months (1 year).
What is your opinion?

My opinion - install crucial's storage executive and see what it reports.

I had already installed the Crucial software, but it did not help to dispel my doubts.
I have only access to general status of this drive and if I am trying to check details the software problem accured.

Tough to say. Back up any irreplaceable data, and keep an eye on it. You could even replace it now if you don't want to risk it. Those utilities only give an estimate of life left, so it could die soon or it could even last much longer than the estimate.

Those drives had 3 year warranties, and you are likely past that now. Some components simply last longer than others.

There just is no sure fire way or test to know how long something will last.
As was mentioned, just keep active backups, and keep using it, until it dies.
I had SSDs show 100% fine, and the next day, the SSD was toast.

My ssd has only 685 working days and about 11TB writes - for MLC it should not be any problem.
I found that one guy wrote into Crucial m500 100TB:

Well, just ignore the utility warning and continue to use it.

I'm not sure what you expect us to tell you? There is more to SSDs than the NAND. We are not psychics and we are unable to tell you when your SSD is going to quit working.

Back up your data and ride it out until it dies.

I only asked about your opinion. Maybe someone from you had similar situation with ssd drive.

Many people here have had a similar situation. Most of us use CrystalDisk and similar hard drive health utilities. I know I periodically check mine to watch for issues.

The utilities are an estimate of your drive's health. They cannot give you an exact date. Just because you don't have a lot of NAND writes, it doesn't mean your drive will last until the NAND has no endurance left.

Seriously just back up your data, and continue to use it until it dies. There's really nothing else anyone can tell you other than what you already see with the utilities.

Not sure how many different forums you need to hear from giving you the same answer?
Hello UsandThem,

I was just looking for information from different sources.

What I learned from other sources:
The Crystal-Disk-Info shows the drive status as good (33%).
This ssd is a Micron drive, so according to the Crystal-Disk manual - it means that 33% of the life has been used, not that 33% of its life left.

https://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/manual-en/HealthStatus.html

So, my ssd is fine.

It's not throwing errors or corrupted, so that's what we were saying. You likely only started monitoring it with hard drive utilities, so you can't know for sure how quickly it's health is declining.

Use common sense backup schedules and use it until it dies. There is no warranty left on it, so nothing really to worry about at this point. If you wake up one day and it doesn't work, replace it.
