Hi,

I have a computer that was assembled in 2012 august at a computer store.

They installed the Firmware 000F for my M4 128.

My computer feels very good.

Is it correct ?

Does the 000F update included advantage of 0309 Firmware version released before the 000F ?

The 0309 has advantage to repared the bug of 5,000 hours ?

I don't want a previous version if my computer is very good.

What do you think about this ?

Thank-you !

Doesn't Crucial provide a set of utilities for the SSD, similar to Samsung's "Magician?"

In Samsung's case, you simply go on line and it tells you whether or not you have the latest and greatest firmware. I would expect as much from Crucial.

I have another old rule of thumb - if it is working OK, leave it alone.

The 000F FW includes all of the fixes that came before it in previous firmwares. I would stay on the 000F FW as the newest one has only been out a few days and the 'community' is still reporting their findings on it.

Im using 010G and boot up is super fast. TOMS compared and M4 boots fastest compared to all SSD including Sammy 830. Faster, and everything feels really instant and snappy. Now bootup is even faster then Toms chart by at least 5 to 10 seconds.. Thank you Crucial and your great firmware. PS CS6 2 seconds. Thunderbird 1 and half seconds. firefox 0 seconds. Boot up 17 seconds. :)

Just don't mess around with BIOS leave comp OC as is.

With this firmware if you mess with BIOS and kill the boot. No post no beeps or beeps,, then the drive will dissapear and not show in BIOS. That is when you do a power cycle. Ive done power cycle on 2 occasions. Both times I was fiddling when I shouldn't have.

- I updated to 010G before the issues were reported - I haven't personally had any issues but I'd wait on the 010G for now.

FWIW - the first couple of days following the release of 010G there were about 11 pages of discussion on the firmware - that has only increased by 3 pages in the last few days. I don't know if that means that the issues were isolated, or if fewer people are updating to this new firmware.
