SSD is listed as an IDE drive in BIOS?

Hi everyone!
two quick questions. I did try to google and search the forums and thought I had an explanation but have not found exactly what I am looking for.

The first question is simple. My new Intel X25M 80 GB hard drive is listed in BIOS boot order as the following:
IDE HDD - Intel SSDSA2......(S2)

What I want to know is if the SSD is set up correctly. Trim value is O in CMD, I have gone into the registry and that value in the HKEY_LOCAL etc is already at 0, and the SATA controller is already set to AHCI in the BIOS. My BIOS is very limited it seems on this Gateway 7805u laptop. I am just wondering if the IDE is supposed to say AHCI HDD rather than IDE for example. The SSD seems to be functioning o.k., fast boot times, etc.

Second question is simple. I bought a new computer recently that has a Corsair 128 Nova SSD in it. I have turned off auto defrag, won't run tune up utilities for example, the TRIM value is 0, etc. Are there any programs like Intel toolbox that are needed for this drive to keep it working o.k. The corsair website seems to imply they are not needed. Any thoughts?

Thank you all greatly.
