I have a PC with a WiMax card (Intel 6150). I think this is a half-height PCI-E model. Does this mean I can pull the card and put a PCI-E SSD in its place?

We're talking about a desktop, right? Not a laptop? Just making sure.

If it's a laptop, then doubtful. There needs to be an (additional) SATA line running to the mPCIe slot in order for it to work with mSATA SSDs.
