SSD & HDD Question?

I installed a 180 GB Intel SSD "married" to a WD 500 GB HDD......I tried to steer like big game installs etc. to the HDD but often they did not allow me to choose where to install and auto installed to my "C: Drive/SSD....now I see I only have 27GB left on the SSD. I have been going over all the instructions that came with the SSd to see if I can transfer programs over manually to the HDD and clear up space on the SSD - I cannot find anything that tells me if and how I can do that.
Please tell me IF the INTEL SSD will start auto installing everything onto the HDD once it gets to a certain state of fullness? I am guessing that is what happens.

No. it won't automatically start installing when it runs out of room. It just won't install stuff.

It's been a very, very long time since i played a game which didn't give me the option of installing things to a location other than my C: drive. I'd stop clicking "express install" and try the advanced options.

With only 27Gb left you better start moving "junk" off that drive or it will, if not already, start slowing down.

When you say "married" are you referring to the SSD caching the HDD? If so, you won't be given a choice. If they are 2 logically separated drives according to Windows, then pretty much any install should give you the choice of where to put it.

Many many games will run just fine if you simply cut and paste the entire game folder from
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)
to
Code:
D:\Games
In these cases all you have to do is change where the shortcut points.

What I mean by that is: When I first put this system together I started initially with my 500GB WD HDD, then not to long after I added the Intel SSD and used the included Software Program fm Intel to Transfer the OS and other Important Programs from what is now the "F" Drive to what was and is now the "C" Drive. I wanted to really put basically almost everything after that onto the HDD - but now with so many installs NOT asking where to install I have the darn SSD almost full.

Thanks - worked with an almost 10GB Game and that helped but with my latest dnld - BF3 Origin did not offer a choice and dumped almost 20GB on the SSD and when I transferred it to the HDD - the shortcut [old or new] did not work.
