SSD for Macbook Pro early 2008

Hi All,

I was going to buy an OCZ Vertex 2 240Gb drive for my macbook pro, but have seen many many postings about dead drives eg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227552. It seems to me that build quality is just not that good? Am I wrong and should just go for it? I am also considering a Corsair Performance Series drive or an Intel X-25m G2. Thoughts?
