Update 8/4/11
Well it turns out my trusty Micro Center brand SSD was th culprit. I went to MC and bought a Crucial M4 SSD, did everything that I did with the other drive and it worked like a charm! Thanks for all of your guidance!
Mobo - ASrock z68 pro-m
core i5 2500k
SSD - Micro Center brand SF SSD (64GB)
Set up AHCI in BIOS, left all other setting at stock. Installed W7 64bit, everything was working like a charge. Installed all of the drivers and windows updates, including the Intel RST driver (downloaded off their website). I then did a restart and my SSD is no longer seen in BIOS (I get a black screen that says missing boot mgr). So I went into BIOS, changed the storage to "IDE Enchanced", exited BIOS and got a blue screen. I immediately went into BIOS again and changed it back to AHCI, and it worked. So I turned on my PC this morning and the same damn thing happened. This has to be a software issue right? I never had this happen on my X58 setup with the same SSD.
I also intalled an Intel ME driver, plus an Intel INF driver off the ASrock mobo CD. Could this be the culprit?
