Are you talking about a 2.5-in to 3.5-in adapter/converter? If so, all of mine are metal. They look like the Newegg one linked by Burner27.

Not sure if it's any better than the plastic ones, but I also got the Silverstone metal adapter linked above. All it had to do was fit in the proprietary trays in my Antec case and hold my SSD drive. It did both easily, and there's room for yet another drive in it.

I just threw my SSD on the bottom of the case and plugged it in...

Just what I did until the adapter arrived. :) BTW, the Silverstone is $5 cheaper on Amazon than on Newegg. Can't seem to post links, sorry.
