I'm looking for a Mac OS X app for benchmarking SSD transfer rates. Any ideas?
Why? I recently bought the Mid-2010 13" MBP. After looking at the new 15" MBP in the stores I noticed it no longer had the Nvidia SATA controller, but had returned to using Intel, which seems to have eliminated the 3rd-party SATA controller issues Anand wrote about back in late 2009.
The 13" MBP still uses Nvidia, but it's the MCP89 AHCI whilst last year's MBPs used Nvidia MCP79 AHCI. That is better than being the same SATA controller but I'm still concerned about transfer rates.
