SSD and performance questions

I recently got 2 40Gb intel SSD's when newegg had the shellshocker on them...

Just for kicks I ran some benchmarks comparing them to my other drives:

Intel SSD X25-V 80GB (2 40Gb Drives) Raid 0 @ 4k

Samsung Spinpoint F1 2TB (2 1TB Drives) Raid 0 @ 64k

WD Velicoraptor 300GB

So yeah, the Intel Raid is leaps and bounds better for reading, and the writes were as expected w/ SSDs...

BUT, my question is about the 2 dips in the SSD benchmark... why do they occur? Does it have something to do with buffering? Is it normal?

I'm using the latest Intel Rapid Storage Driver 9.6 that supports sending TRIM functions down through the Raid 0 Array. I also followed this guide for tweaks under windows 7

I'm sorry i wasn't clear... the 80GB Raid = 2 40Gb drives in Raid 0, i'll edit my original post
