me and my friend are having a discussion
he keeps flaming MS products
and xp and such
and sayin that unix/linux is better

i like xp because its really easy to do stuff on it and i am not a programer or anything

but wut is the difference between linux/unix and xp
and which is better?

better asked on the operating systems but actually better not asked at all. Some will say linux is better because of stability and security.
Others will bash for still using a command line

And as far as being better it all depends on what you do and how much patience you have ;)

Linux operates from a GUI-like Windows and also command line, if desired.

It has a windows-like environment, for those who are comfortable with, and allows users to work from a command line too.
2 environments are offered. One can pick whatever they'recomfortable with.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to run Linux.
Ubuntu is easy and best of all free, including all software window-like programs.

MS windows is a very easy-to-use and user-friendly system.It is however very bloated.
MS just stuffed this system with many unwanted features including even spyware. I am
sure MS can make Windows a much cleaner OS that does not tax heavely on our hardware
but they just don't want to.
