SRT-4 Greatest Car Ever!! Video Tribute

I'm not a big fan of the SRT-4, but its a pretty quick car for the money. They handle like crap though. Kinda ugly too. I'm not sure how the SRT-4 community acts, so I really cant agree/disagree with the videos.

If I wanted a cheap and fast in a straight line car, I would consider one, but thats about all its good for.

I think Drag Racing is stupid and does not show the true potential or ability of a good vehicle, but its probally the best way to compare acceleration times, but nothing more. A real race course or autocross course really shows how well a driver can control their car, how a car can handle, while still making use of acceleration. It uses all the elements to determine whats a good car, and whats not. The fastest car in a straight line might not always be the best car. While in drag racing, its all about 14~ seconds of going in a straight line, and hardly stresses the driver's ability as well as the cars suspension setup.

Thats my only "grudge" against the SRT-4, while I personally havn't driven one, from my understanding, they handle like crap. Good in a straight line, and nothing more. Turn the thing, hit the gas, front tires just burnout all day.
 
SRT-4 is hardly the greatest car ever. You could pack 300 hp into a Cavalier, sell it for $20k and it would still be a fuggin' POS Cavalier. That is all.

Actually, I think the term "vehicle of death" is required to be posted on the windsheild by the DMV with such stupid upgrades😀
 
For those that haven't downloaded the video, it's a parody video making fun of the srt-4 and owners that talk about how awesome the car is.

Did anyone actually watch the video? It was great. 😀 And it's true, the SRT-4 is quick, but it's not THAT fast!

Who says the SRT-4 Handles like crap? It's supposed to be one of the better handling FWD cars out there? Where do you get your information?
 
It's still a Neon. A guy on the south side of town suped up a Pinto. Made it a 4x4, roll bars, light kit...first thing out of people's mouths is always "Why would he supe up that piece of junk?!" Same deal here 🙂

No no, not even the same. I'd love to see that Pinto. I'd probably laugh my ass off. Something like that is unique. An SRT-4 isn't.

yea from what i've read its decent. and if you have a weaker car, even one that handles slightly better, you can't win if the race course has any straight bits. the sheer power will overwhelm u lol🙂

the quaffie LSD they have [standard] in the newer ('04+) SRT-4 helps out a bit.
 
The neon has always been known for its good handling. Its no mazda speed protege in the handling department but it is still really good for a fwd car.
