srsly why the hell do we have subforums??

Make a post in OT regarding a topic (notebooks, cars, health, whatever), and you get a few replies within an hour, almost guaranteed

Make a post in any of the other forums, you get a reply in...24 hours? Maybe...MAYBE.

The only subforums that seem to be worth a damn are P&N, fs/t, HD

srsly there's no goddamn point in posting in the subforums.

Do I expect any more replies? Nope. Wanna know why? Cuz before it was moved, my notebook subforum was hidden. I'd put good money saying it's not visible for alot of users.

You have to manually block the forums. They are not blocked by default.

The majority of my posts are in forums other than OT. That would be a terrible idea.

Yeah subforums suck. I asked a question in OT a while ago and some crazy mod moved it into programming, never got another reply, i dont remember what the question was but i just went to another forum and had it answered. Waaaaay too many subforums, it was much better before.

There are many good subforums that are very actve, but there are some that have little to no activity. Re-consolidation of certain subforums may be good idea in my opinion. Since we are moving to vB, that may be a good time to make the change.

Dunno what you're reading, but all the "Hardware and Technology" sections are what I'd consider highly active. Granted, half of that lately has been from kids signing up just to ask questions already covered in the FAQs/stickies/main site, but a reorg won't change that.
