What kind of adhesive is safe for birds (doesn't produce toxic fumes) and effective at keeping linoleum stuck to plywood?

The birds live in the same airspace as the renovation project in question. Google merely turns up the fact that adhesives create fumes that can be dangerous for birds. Project size: 2-3 rooms, including kitchen.

Links to bird safe vendors of construction materials welcome.

uhhh, the smell should be gone in a day, especially if it's outside. If you really must though, avoid glues that used petroleum products.
