I want to be able to stream music to my home theater downstairs...

Squeezebox - $225, Bright screen, can stream Sirius Sat Radio, tons of plugins, dosen't need TV on to navigate (i.e. expensive bulbs) if I keep it on for hours.

Apple TV - $250 (with BB Giftcard), uses the HDTV, can also stream photos (useful for me) and movies (not really useful for me at this time)

I dunno, i like the Apple TV, but the squeezebox can do Sirius, which would totally rock. Has anyone heard of Apple TV getting a plugin for Sirius anytime soon?

xbmc is out. I had one before and as much as i liked it, the Sirius streaming never worked right and my wife could never figure out how to get it to work right...

Squeezebox.

Although the Apple TV shows promise (full OSX has been done and Linux is in progress), Apple hasn't announced an official Sirius plugin for it.

An Apple TV isn't going to fix your "I want to listen to Sirius on my home stereo" problem without a TON of hacking. To do it, you would need to totally reformat the thing and put Mac OS X on it. We've already given you some better solutions on how to fix that problem.

Are you looking for a full Xbox, or just the case (box?) like in your sig?

I was looking to sell my softmodded 160gb.

Both seem overpriced for what they do. Id say squeezebox, just cuz its cheaper.
