Squeaky hard drive that just came in from newegg

I just had a Seagate 320 GB 7200.10 drive come in from Newegg yesterday and it has an irritating squeaky sound coming from it. Not loud but highly annoying, what makes it worse is that as long as the LAN is connected, it constantly makes the noise, if I disable the LAN it quits doing it constantly, just during normal read/write. Even if the drive weren't going bad, I can't stand listening to that noise!

Anyone else ever had this problem?

If you have it under warranty, send it back and demand a new one.

RMA that HD. It might lead to an early failure so send it back and get a new one.
