Squeaking noise front left wheel

Yesterday I pulled into the drive thru after coming back from school, and I noticed there was a squeaking sound coming from the left side of the car. Today I took my dad's car to work, and the squeaking noise is still there. I took a video of it so if anyone can give me an idea of what I'm looking at, I'd appreciate it. I put my foot on the front bumper and applied intermittent pressure to get the noise.

Sounds like the rubber gasket went out for the spring maybe? I'm not exactly sure what the terminology is for these part names, but my old 91 mr2 had the same issue.
 
Would it be safe to drive, say 20 miles to my mechanic? Or should I find somewhere closer, albeit not a trusted place?
 
It should be just fine for you to drive to a trusted mechanic... from what I was told, all it is: is a piece of rubber to prevent the spring from rubbing metal to metal. I hope its the same problem as I had.. the sound is identical. Very annoying, but thats all it is. although I'm sure they will just tell you the suspension needs to be redone.

Maybe someone else can chip in some advice.
 
Don't have sound right now, but if its a creaky rubber sound that people are talking about then it's the strut or control arm bushings. They are similar to motor mounts, but in the suspension system; they are just rubber isolators between the points where the car body connects to the suspension system.

The rubber gets harder in colder weather and the car makes more creaking noises, especially as the suspension is loaded and unloaded and the struts and control arms apply pressure to the bushings.

So I assume then it is nothing to worry about? I always heat up my car in the morning before I drive, and the last 4 days there has been frost on the windshield and roof.

EDIT

It's 67*F here right now, and the sound is there. Does that mean it is not weather related? It's pretty cold in the mornings but it heats up.
