Squeaking coming from speakers

Right now I am using on board sound for Altec Lansing GT5051. My mobo is an ABIT KV8, the AC'97 are up to date. The sound is annoying, im not sure if its the crappy on board sound (there is also a constant hiss) or if its interference from my monitor cable or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
yea, was gonna say, this is the mobos fault. I usualy avoid onboard sound unless its an nforce board.
