SquareTrade... is it reliable?

Does anyone know much about SquareTrade? It supposedly verifies auction sellers info and such... so it's supposed to help identify trustworthy sellers and such. Anyone know if it's reliable?
 
I've used them for auction feedback dispute.
Buyer left wrong feedback for wrong person, SquareTrade resolve it in a less than a week.
I have to pay $20 though, kinda suck but that is the only way to settle dispute on eBay.
