With my wife breaking 2 laptops in a row, I decided to get a squaretrade policy for her last one. It failed last month and I sent it in; they determined it wasn't worth (or couldn't be fixed) so I am getting the full purchase price returned. nice.

Not sure what exactly what was wrong with it but it would randomly reboot and display video artifacts and it was not software issue.

I will be buying a SQ policy for her next one as well.

Seems like you need a new wife to me. Or at least giving the current one some training :awe:

But seriously, accidental damage coverage can be a great deal when you know that the thing is going to abused from the get-go.

That doesn't sound like accidental damage.

Some types of items are more prone to strange failures that can't be easily fixed, and IMO notebooks are one of them.
