Square One Fallacy most infamous examples?

I guess the most infamous one is ongoing as you read this (Government is highly inefficient because no one has seriously tried before and so we gonna succeed!).

Translation: Please stop posting factual information about how literally batshit insane my political party has become.

Proper sanitation is the hallmark of civilization. Being a civilized person I address leakage rather than waiting for someone else to step in it, or proclaim it as a victory for those who choose to wallow in it.

LOL, I’ve never heard ”just asking questions” referred to as “JAQing off” before, but it will forever live in my lexicon.
It's been around for a while to mock people pretending to be skeptics who are not arguing in good faith. They just spread their fake questions of concern around as if they are a real party interested in the truth.

Relatedly, it's a good way to describe the NYT OpEd page over the years: they platform all sorts of cranks and weirdos under the guise of "diversity of voices" to propel conversation, but it just ultimately serves to launder horrible ideas under the banner of the NYT. Most people don't understand the difference between the NYT Editorial pages and the OpEd pages - they just see it all as under one banner; they think, "If the NYT is printing this, it must have some merit".

Good. Clean your own house then. Because the GOP hoovered up all the batshitters and mainstreamed their batsittery. RFK jr. being the shining example.

Antivaxxers USED to be evenly distributed among right and left wing. Now virtually ALL of them are Trumpers like your brain worm buddy.

Your rage is misplaced. I'm in no position to undo the results of the presidential election. I've also never met RFK Jr, so no relationship has been established. Should the opportunity ever present itself, I'll share your objections with him.
Perhaps shouting at someone else would be more productive?

NYT does publish some bullshit they absolutely shouldn't.

Yes. They've platformed bullshit for years, and the chief editor a few years ago went on to defend it all as "encouraging conversation" and that "it appears on the op-ed page, so people know it's not really endorsed by the NYT", as if people really understand that level of nuance.

If it's in your overall opinion/editorial section, you are at minimum tacitly endorsing the ideas by giving it a platform. You can't put bullshit out into the world and act all innocent when it comes flying back.

You've made your position clear, you're angry with Trump and it's my fault. My position is that I don't care about your feelings, and couldn't do anything about them if I did.
Is there anything else we need to discuss? Can we move along and pretend this little interlude never happened?

You were in the position when the rest of us warned you what would happen.

You didn't even need us to tell you the evidence was right in front of your face.

You made for whatever reason, the choice to ignore your own eyes and ears.

Translation: I made a stupid decision that is not only hurting me, but those around me and I refuse to take responsibility for that decision.

Have you overcome your cowardice long enough to tell us what bathroom this person should use yet?

I love scientific research. One experiment I would love to run would be to put antivaxers into a torture chamber and see how sincerely they believe. I would like to start with a bull whip.

I know, I know, I think this way because I hate myself. No acting out allowed.
