I was throwing around this idea with another AT member not to long ago. I was wondering if any of you would be interested in attending an online class that i am thinking of doing. It would be done via skype, a voice chat communication program and it is limited to the amount of people it can have in one conference. But, i wanted to see if anyone would be interested in short online class (probably about an hour long) that gives information about spyware removal programs, features of those programs, instructions about them. General tips about how to avoid infection, and of cource, how to analyze your own Hijackthis log safely. But even if it did spark interest, it would probably be another 2 weeks or so until i was able to gather all the info and be prepared (note also i am in premed and school comes first, so this will have to be at a time when things will be going a little easier for me at school, that and i would have to find my office xp disc so i can make a power point presentation:p, also, im still behind on hijackthis log posts). also, please note that i have a rather noticable southern accent when i speak.

The class, would of course be free of charge, as is all the programs i use, even skype.

this beginner level course would probably include discussions on...

[*]Spyware Removal Programs (how to use and the features of them)
[*]Spyware Prevetion programs (how to use and the features of them and what they do)
[*]Tips on how to avoid spyware
[*]How to analyze your own hijackthis log and manual malware removal

and, at the end, i will test you against a few real life (but old) hijackthis logs to see if you find the malware in them:p

if you are interested, please reply to this thread and please tell me you would like to see (and hear) in such a class.

i would definitely be interested in a beginner class. while i'm pretty comfortable with most things pc related, when it comes to digging into the registry and other potentially dangerous pursuits i get out of my comfort zone.

If it fits my schedule, I'm in. I'm pretty much OCD when it comes to my computers and I can't stand having stuff on them that I didn't put there. I'm sure most people that read these forums are. That and I'm paranoid that something might actually be on my computer without me knowing it and I want to know how to find anything that might be there. So in short, yeah, if I can, I'm in.

I'm highly interested in the hijackthis logs thing. Basic spyware removal is rather remidial if not "set it and forget it" like w/ current autoprotection.

However, the manual removal stuff sound intersting to me.

PM me whenever you get this off the ground!
