spyware lurking on my computer?

I currently have spybot s&d and ad aware. and i run them both everyday but today I noticed that when i was done running a scan it says that it could not delete 2 spy's and now pop ups keep coming. what should I do?

Start>Run>MSCONFIG (Startup): Look in that list to see if bad stuff is starting with Windows. If so, find it and delete it.

If you find the files you need to delete but can't through normal means, try deleting them through the command prompt: Start>RUN>cmd: paste folder location, and use "del" command.
