SpyBot Vs Ashampoo Anti-Spyware

I need to know which is better in removing spyware, Spybot Search & Destroy or Ashampoo Antispyware? Thanks! 🙂

Spybot is the one I see recommended of the two, it also has Immunize.
MalwareBytes or SuperAntispyware could be the best free manual scanners.

Does Spybot run all the time in the background like an antivirus program or does it only run when its launched ?

Thanks! I'm using SuperAntispyware and must say it's a very very good software for malware detection and removal. 🙂 I'll try MalwareBytes to see how it is.

I have noticed in a HJT forum the advisers often want MalwareBytes &/or Super to be ran.

I also have Spybot.

Yeah, actually SuperAntiSpyware is very easy to use and has a very sharp rate of detection & the removing is good as well. I have it running in the task bar sometimes, but exit it while gaming because it slows down the frame rates in games, (I play off-line games mainly).

When it comes to spyware, you can have several as most are on-demand. Just be sure that their live portions are compatible if you choose to use it. I have three or four antispyware softwares installed: Spybot, Adaware, one that comes with SystemSuite, and the M$ malware thing that updates and runs whenever you do your windwoes update.

I use the anti-spywares when needed for the scans which I do very often (along with the updates) and the rest of the time I don't let them run on my taskbar as my PC kind of slows down specially while playing games which is a tad annoying.
