Spybot update says access denied for Plugins directory

Havent used spybot for a long time, so I went to update and my 1.5.2 was being updated to 1.6.2, and when it got to where it was doing the dll's in the Plugins directory each one complains "access denied". Sure enough, the Plugins dir has that kind of ReadOnly checkbox that is visibly checked but grayed out. I can uncheck it and click OK, go through all that, but it does not remove the readonly attribute

What is it with that grayed out checkbox?

I just uninstalled and installed the new one, that worked
