Spybot Search and Destroy Question.

When you immunize you system with spybot, do you have to keep spybot running at all times for you system to be immunized?

No. All that immunize does is write to your hosts file and redirect all the items to 127.0.0.1.

ok but what does that mean?

If a program tries to go to a known spyware site to download spyware to your computer, the hosts file will redirect that to your local machines address, which wont work, and therefore you dont get the spyware.
