Spybot, I love you and I hate you

It's such a wonderful tool for cleaning things up. However, there's apparently a bug in it. I had it search, and it found 106 (!) threats. I highlighted one, determined what it was, then said fix. Whoops, I realized it's not the highlighting, but the checkboxes next to them. It asks if I'm sure I want to fix all 106 problems. I say no...and SpyBot....does it anyway!! Argh....So I deleted 106 files/registry keys, and I don't even know what they were. So I go into recovery, and accidently hit "purge selected recovery" (and of course all 106 files were selected), by accident, instead of the "recover" button. So now they're gone for good!

This is my first time using SpyBot, is it likely that it would return anything I DON'T want to get rid of? Too late now, and I'm experiencing no problems as of yet, but I really don't like wiping out registry keys without being able to check what they were...

no offense, but you kind of screwed up everything this time around 🙂

I know... well actually I really only screwed up once. I hit purge instead of recover, which was dumb. But when I told spybot I didn't want to delete the damn things in the first place, it did anyway!

Wait, so you hate Spybot because you don't know how to use it?

No, I hate Spybot because it said "you want to delete these?" And I said "No." and it said "too bad, out they go!" And yes, I'm angry at my own stupidity. 😉
