I've been running setidriver for a few days now and have noticed that the time per project have increased by over an hour. I was getting around 4hrs30mins with spy but now get over 5hrs30mins with setidriver. Should it really make a difference? Maybe this was just a freak thing, I dunno

Shouldn't make a difference. I use both.

If it's just one or a few WU's that are taking longer it could be lower AR WU's, which take longer to process.

If you've got a cable net connection is it really necessary to make use of driver's "cache"

Well, i guess that's up to you but you never know when SETI's servers may have a little glitch. Even though they now have the "better, stronger, faster" bandwidth, their servers still occasionally drop connections.

No harm in storing a few :)
