Toyota sells
Nissan you have to talk hard to sell.

The difference between Toyota and Nissan is clear.

Toyota dealership: What car do you want? Pointed to the car and allowed to drive with no salesman.

Nissan dealership: We are better than Toyota/Honda because.... we have 6 cd changer.. blah blah.. Showed numerous cars and salesman comes with you on test drive.

I don't get it. Isn't the Infiniti M45 enough. This doesn't look good for Nissan. Is there even a big market for the Avalon?

Okay so Altima is mid-size, Maxima is their large, flagship sedan, so what the hell is this? Bigger than large better than flagship sedan? And then Maxima is now mid? And Altima is teeny weeny? And Sentra is microscopic?

yes nissan owns infiniti. i am rather disappointed that my mirror switches and sunglass holder are exactly the same as the ones in the 350z.

also there isa huge market for avalon, but well i'm confused with this car.

firs the trunklid and rear lights look like they stole it right off the new s-class.

and also are we really this fat that we need a sedan this big. when they redesigned the altima they made it as big as the camry. so it seemed that the maxima was actually the avalon fighter. according to most of the pages online about the teana, the maxima is bigger than the teana, and the teana is about the same size as the altima, and uses the same frame. maybe its just a redesign of the altima.

the altima did come out in late 2001 as a 2002 model, so its pretty much due for a redesign anyway.

avalon fighter? what the hell is the maxima?

Toyota has adopted a similar strategy with its Avalon, and it appears that Nissan is attempting a similar attack - adapting an up-market (Infiniti) platform to get a piece of the large, near-luxury-cruiser market.
wtf? the avalon is a 'down market' camry platform, which is the opposite of what this guy is smoking

I thought the Maxima already was a competitor for the Avalon (albeit not in fit and finish.) I say they should dump the fugly Maxima and replace it with this...don't think they can sell both in reasonable volume.

The Avalon has a pretty good grip on that market...so good that even Honda has trouble competing in it.
