It's not Horry's fault. The Lakers shouldn't have been down so much and force him in that situation again.
BTW, isn't Phil Jackson dating Jerry Buss's daughter?

Did anyone else hear during the game that Jackson is finding it hard to find that extra bit of energy he needs to coach, which supposedly means he might retire after this year?

Maybe Jeannie Buss is wearing him down? :Q

You're right. You're totally right. Memo to Buss...get off your ass this offseason and start spending some $. THe guy is making gob's of money and refuses to go over the Luxury cap when the Maloofs and Cuban, owners of two teams that bring in less money are totally willing to spend the extra cheddar to bring in help.

You are an idiot! "he just gets lucky every once in awhile"? Shooting 30% from the 3 pt line is hardly getting lucky. Before you post something, get your facts straight.

That said, looks like Lakers will have to go win it in 7. No biggie. Just wish we could've had a Queens-Lakers Conference Finals (right Stojakawimp?) Oh well, looks like the Lakers will have to take on the Mavs.

30% is still below average for the nba. his only claim to fame is the couple of big shots he has hit in his career.

i would never want him on my team

Robert Horry's days are over. Sure, he may hit a big shot for the Lakers when the game is on the line, but other than those times, he is utter crap. He doesn't have a good shooting percentage and is a dirty player. If you have to pick over a player who is more consistent during the game than a player who can only hit shots when the game is on the line, I think would pick the more consistent player

Horry was key to Houston's championships. Just because being PF on the Lakers forced him to get bigger - thus hasn't been the same - doesn't mean that he doesn't have a storied career. He's already been a part of 5 championship teams.

Those "few big shots" are more than what Duncan the MVP can say.

So if you owned a team, you would pick Horry over Duncan?

Of course not. But whats your point? Is my statement wrong? Is Horry not a big game player?

This is so stupid. If Horry had made that shot, all of you naysayers will say SIGN HIM AGAIN! A player's career doesn't rest on just one shot.

Lakers have no depth this year. I don't know why they didn't acquire any good backup guys. Every year they lose players from their bench and now there is no bench. Especially with Fox out and now George, it's over for the Lakers. I think Sacramento will win it this year. Too bad, 'cause the ratings will really take a nose dive after the Lakers go out.

Let's face it, San Antonio is a boring team to watch, and so is any team in the East. The only good matchup left is Sacramento/Dallas.

It's cuz Dr Buss is cheap.

No way the Kings can win it all without Webber. Even against an East team, they can't win it without Webber.

Anyway, Buss shelled out a lot of money to get Phil Jackson out of retirement/hiatus. He's not really cheap. Just kind of stubborn. It's almost the same team as last year that won it all. He didn't think a lot of change was necessary to keep the run going. Also, who do you suggest he sign on to the Lakers? If you talk about cheap, look at the Clipper's staff.

Man, I hate Horry, but you guys bashing him are just nuts. He's the king of clutch. Magic himself said the NBA has probably never had a more reliable clutch shot maker in the playoffs then Horry. I dont' like Magic the commentator.....but I'd take Horry on my team in a heart beat. He has no fear. And the Spurs are lucky as hell he missed----with all the big shots big Shot Rob has made....he's bound to miss a few...but damn. Like Duncan said in the post interview......Pop didn't have to say anything to him b/c he knew he fvked up big time and almost cost them the game.

That being said-----I really want the Spurs to win this series....but the way they're pissing the games away has almost caused me to root for the Lakers. When a team shoots under 50% (4 of 9) from the stripe in the 4th quarter....you deserve to lose.

of course not, BUT, you have to admit, duncan really choked in the 4th quarter. he had several opportunities to put the game out of reach and he didn't.

IF horry's shot HAD gone down, we'd be talking about how duncan had choked in this one. in reality he did and the lakers just failed to take advantage of it.

horry is a great overall player.

he also looks like will smith, so he is doubly cool.
