Spurs add Van Exel, Best team in the NBA?

the heat have more depth, but the spurs have the team chemistry going for them. i think the spurs will win it again this year.

Meh, I think the only thing the Spurs need to worry about is a second backup center, Mohammed seems to be playing and progressing well. Nesterovic seems to be a bust. I think the Heat do not have enough time to create a stable chemistry, all the new additions are used to 15+ shots a game.

SA's the best until someone beats them...or Duncan has a season ending injury. That's cliche, but they won the finals last year while TD could hardly get lift on his jump because of his frequent ankle sprains.

true that it happened at a bad time, but the spurs played through injuries throughout the course of the season as well, just like most all teams

I thought he was going to retire this year. Seems like SA has a nack for picking up old, yet still contributing role players.

Horry, Robinson, Barry, Bowen, and now Van Exel. That's several guys that are 33+ years old.

Not old by "normal" standards, but certainly pretty far over the curve by NBA standards.
