SprintPCS = Devil; Need Help!

To make a long story short...I've been getting lied to repeatedly by SprintPCS reps every time I venture to talk to them. Each and every one of them tells me a different story, whether it be at the local store, the mall, or worst buy, but the worst of all are those that you have to wait 2 hours for on hold on the customer disservice line. I've been told that certain charges wouldn't be on my bill only to see those and many more charges all over the place even though I asked several different reps about the charges before adding phones to my service and upgrading my plan.

I was expecting the bill that I would get to be somewhat off, as I know how bad SpringPCS is at switching over your serivce, but I got a $370, and after a few minutes was able to catch over $250 of mistakes on my bill such as a $150 "cancellation fee" that was completely eroneous not to mention other things. I was able to get some of this resolved, but it was an extreme hassle as Sprint refuses to believe that they could make any mistakes even though I've got clear documentation stating otherwise.

I spoke to a decent rep last night and got most of the stuf fixed, then spoke to her superior and he was completely useless and said that nothing could move on from there. I'm hoping I can contact the corporate office or something because this is absolutely ridiculous, and the manager blatantly told me that I have to put up or shut up because if I cancel my plan (as I threatened to do) they'd give me a cancellation fee of $150 for real this time among many other penalties and charges.

What irks me the most is not that I have all these ridiculous charges on my phone bill, but rather that when I try to anything fixed, even having the names, dates and times of people I spoke to double checking that I wouldn't be charged for stuff like wireless web and other activation charges, the manager seems to simply say...well...I don't know who you spoke to, but they told you wrong, you're SOL.

I can't understand how any company could possibly work this way. I've been a customer of theirs for over 3 years and yet they're unwilling to do even the slightest thing to help correct the mistakes.

Does anyone know the corporate info for SpringPCS? Somewhere I coud fax or call or something to file a complaint? All their website has is a post office box in Kentucky, but by the time I get a reply from there I might as well be filing for a mail in rebate.

Any thoughts on what I should do? How to proceed?

yeah, I'm currently in the black hole of a Sprint PCS plan too. I can't stand the hold times they make you put up with. As soon as I can get out without a cancellation fee, I'm goin cingular (with the Baltimore/DC plan... Unlimited Nights/Weekends sounds AWESOME)

SpecialED: Quick question, whats the call quality like with Cingular?

I may hate SprintPCS, but the connection always sounds as clear as a normal telephone.

I want to go cingular since I'll be calling my girlfriend pretty much every single night (and weekend!) and using a cell phone would be a lot cheaper than standard long distance.

Shy,

Someone informed me that you can get out of the cancellation fee by saying you were unsatisfied with their service? I know I tried just about everything under the sun other than threatening to go postal on these people last night, but perhaps you can sweet talk them? I'm starting to get worried b/c I purchased multiple phones to use with Sprint PCS and if I end up getting out of this service plan I need to do so asap and return those phones before I get stuck with them.

Who would have thought that things could get so complicated...guess that's what I get for trusting the words of 5 different sprint reps all telling me the same thing, only to be told by the manager that they all were wrong. Next time I'm just asking to speak to the manager right from the start...that is...after all the busy signals and being on hold for hours listening to the mind numbing 2 sentences they have this person say over and over till you want to...argh!

Shy-
My calls are clear as a bell as I stay with in city limits. In Upstate NY, there are more rural areas than I'd like to admit. But even soo.. I get a decent connection even when I'm out in the middle of nowhere. The DC/Baltimore area is pretty built up, I'm sure you will have no problems with your connection. Highways are also cover very well.. And you definately can't beat the price of the Cingular local plan..
Unlimited night and weekends is kick ass... also ask about different cell phones... my dealer told me that certain phones get better reception than others.. then again.. I live in Syracuse,NY.. you may have enough cell towers in your area that it doesn't matter...

I hated Sprint PCS too. I would never sign up with them again. At first they were very helpful, but about 6months into my plan I got a lot of erroneous charges. Their reps were extremely rude to me (hanging up the phone if I even tried to get a word in). I think their quality control is the worst in the industry, and they have failed to upgrade their coverage areas as they promised for the last 2 years. I hope they go down in a burning ball of flame. Better yet, I hope someone files a class action and takes them for every penny they have left.
