Friend of mine signed a 2-year contract with Sprint in Feb, wants to take his Nexus 5 over to t-mobile since there paying the etf fees?

Can he switch now or does he have to wait and will the nexus 5 work on t-mobile with there sim card?

in feb.. wonder if you can return the new phone and avoid the ETF, and move to t-mobile. 14 days i think?

that saying, make sure you like the tmobile service/coverage in your area, especially if you are in a suburban/rural area

Sprint's return is 14 days so should be good if he's under that. The activation fee I believe is non-refundable (36$ or so). I don't have that great of service with sprint but the reason I keep em is for unlimited data. Used 70 GBs one month hahaha ^_^

^Oh Ya, forgot they added that feature on. haha. It'd just be a hassle to switch all 5 lines over to tmobile. Sprint works pretty good in my area.

Sprint usually has better coverage but their data speeds are almost non existent. Likewise, T-mobile coverage can be spotty but their data is much faster. It's a trade off and it depends on where your friend lives to determine if the switch is worth it.
