what is this service called? Is it called Sprint Relay Service or somethign?

Pretty much, this service is for death people. It's an interactive phone service system where the user, at home, types in whatever he wants to the spring operator on the website and the operator will call the other person and relay the message back and forth for ya, no charge..

so if you type "i really want to suck your ****" then the operator will really call up that person and say that? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. endless possibilities!!!

Actually, yeah. At least AT&T relay operators used to. I worked with a few former relay operators back at AT&T, and they would get the calls from the deaf people who wanted to call phone sex lines. So the relay operators had to have these really explicit conversations with the phone sex operator, and they had to put "feeling" into it. I think it was either and AT&T directive or a federal law that they could not alter the deaf person's words in any way. What was typed was what was said. Made for some interesting stories that I heard.
