I'm surrently a Cingular customer but, I'm thinking about switching to Sprint because of the price of their plans and internet, not to mention that from what I understand you now roam on the verizon towers for free which really opens up there coverage....

I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere but, if I order a phone with a plan off of ebay (seems to be the best deal at the moment)...Can I then switch over to the sero plan or am I stuck with the plan I ordered with the phone?

Thanks for any help

I need something with real nationwide coverage and for that my choices are Cingular, Verizon and I guess now Sprint.....

I thought the Sero plan expired back in June? Is it still available?

I signed up for the Sero plan and my phone drops almost every call now. Its really irritating since I am looking for my first job and I can't rely on my phone for phone interviews. I am in the process of getting a replacement phone to see if that helps, otherwise, I will be SOL :(

Go into your local Sprint store and ask them to update your software. You might have the old firmware which has trouble holding connections to the towers.

I beg to differ. Sprint CSR's have been at the least extremely helpful in reconciling any issues that I have had. Yes, i've received some billing errors but they have been quickly removed from my account and so far i've received some type of credit for them. I've been with Sprint for years and have no intention of switching.

Back on topic. Just like what was said above, the SERO plan should be over.

I am deciding between staying with Cingular or switching to Sprint (sero plan) when my Cingular contract is up next month. I want to stay with Cingular for the SE w810i, but I also am pissed because of their change in policy regarding the "new every 2" (might not be able to get a new phone at a price that new subscribers pay). Not sure what I want to do. Most of Sprint's phones are uninspiring to say the least, except for the A900. I really want that w810i but I kind of hate Cingular too... ack!

Check out the A920. Does everything I want it to do. Camcouver, 1.3mp cam, MP3 player, transflash card with SD adapter, headset with mic, etc. Battery life is nominal. Reception isn't as good as my old Sanyo but then again, Sanyo's are built for reception.

Edit. WTF is a Camcouver?!

Agreed. Worst customer service I've EVER seen. It even sucked more than QWEST, which is saying a heck of a lot. I ended up going to Cingular once I finally got away from Sprint. It's more expensive, but the coverage is better here, and the customer service makes it worth it.
