Sprint RazrV3m text messaging woes.

First off, there is always an icon on my screen telling me I have a new text message, when I don't. Also, when I send a text message it is pretty much instant, but when someone sends one to me (I've tried several different phones/services) I cannot receive the messages until I power cycle my phone. Anyone had this problem? If so how did you fix. Other than the text messages the phone works perfectly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

For the permanent message icon.

Did you listen to the voice SMS message that was there when you first activated the phone? I think this was a pretty common thing on the Sprint RAZR.Heres a thread on HowardForums with some possible fixes for it, if you have already deleted the Voice SMS

As for you other problem, your phone might need to be reprovisioned for data, but you would have to call CS for that, or you could take it to a Sprint Store. Just be sure to not get your service canceled

Thank you soooo very much. I don't know if the incoming text messages thing is fixed, but that stupid icon disappeared

Glad to here I was of some help. What did you do to fix it. Was it the voiceSMS needing to be deleted or did you get something out of that thread on Howard Forums?
