Sprint PCS question..

I've heard there is a way to do it..like tell them you are moving, or something. Anyone know a way around it? My contract is up in November, and it would help if I could get out of it sooner.

i canceled last year and just didn't pay it

no reason to

i did not buy a phone from them and they have merged with nextel (who i switched to)

Not sure if you would get a lot of flack for asking, but you could check www.sprintusers.com. They have a decent forum.

Just curious.... are you unhappy with your service? I have a really good retention plan and my coverage is great.

Happy with my service, but I can save a bundle if I switch over to my familys plan on Cingular.

Well, if your canceling because of bad phone service (which they really have) than tell them i'm fed up with your crappy phone service and it never works and i want out...and you can cancel without any fees. . if they try to charge you termination fee you can spit the "didn't meet contract agreement for providing me usable service"..

I used to have them and i canceled about 4months later. . If you play hard-ball enough with them you can get away with it...

When they told me about the term fee i said well, if its anyone who owes anyone money it should be you guys...infact i'm requesting 5months of credit due to horrible service...

If you move to an area with absolutely no Sprint service or if they change the terms of the contract and you don't agree with the terms you can cancel without getting charged. Careful though, if you pay your bill before telling them you want to cancel, it's agreeing to the new terms--sucks for those with automatic bill pay.

Before you try to void the contract for bad service, you had better had some documentation over a couple of months to back it up.

If you move to an area where there is no service, then they may allow you out of it.

If you just made a bad decision, then learn to take your lumps. You are only talking about 6 months.

Most phones are not easily transfered to a new system; the new vendor may have to do some reprogramming on it (if they choose to).
