sprint pcs phone selection, or voicestream?

Okay, I have a Motoral StarTAC through SprintPCS ... it is dying. My plan: 750 anytime, 750 off-peak for $15 /mo. No roaming, no long distance.

I need a new phone. Sprint PCS has only crappy phones, though --- I like my startac's style and conservative look.

I have the option of signing up for Voicestream and getting one of the 82xx series phones ... $49/mo, 3000 anytime, free western roaming, free western long distance.

I use probably around 1200 minutes a month, and my sprint pcs bill is usually around $28. I like the Nokia 82xx phone much better than what I've seen from SprintPCS.

So, what I'd like from you guys is your input -- any nifty sprint phones I should give a whirl, info about how great/horrible voicestream is etc.

Thanks!

man, sprint has some cool phones, I have sprint with the Sanyo 4500, cool phone, and you can never go wrong with a battery that lasts 12 days on standby!
my girlfriend has voicestream, they are okay, as far as I know, I dont know about now, but when she got her phone there were only about 5 or 6 of them to choose from

is your sprint phone the silver one that costs $150? I saw the Samsung NH-200, which is a blue flip-phone deal... I like the nice conservative looks.

Yea, I sold Verizon when I worked at RadioShack -- good company, but steep prices [compared to my sprint plan / voicestream]

<< One word ... Verizon. >>

I dont know where you are, but I have several friends who have all told me bad things about Verizon, but that might just be a Portland thing, who knows
