Just got my PCS phone yesterday. Called wirelessgalaxy.com (actually a company called InTouch from Las Collinas, TX) on Tues. and got 250 anytime minutes plus 750 off-peak (nights and weekends). The phone is a Qualcomm 2700 dualband. It is kinda big but after their $40 instantly off the phone was just $9.00. There is also a $30 MIR rebate plus they are shipping me a free car charger and leather case free.
Initially the guy wanted me to do the $34.99 plan (250+1250) but I told him it was too expensive. I even call Sprint PCS today just to verify that they had set up my account correctly and the operator told me I got a very good deal.

I was on a 1000min/$30 plan, but for an extra $5, I upgraded to the $34.95 plan because of the free long distance. Depends how much long distance you plan on using I guess.

The Qualcomm phones are being made any more so you can't find any accessories for them.

Hey where do you live? I hope in Texas or Kansas where Sprint is located because their PCS junk (that?s right) is the worst service in the world. I lived an hour from NYC last year and couldn't get any kind of reception. I put up with it for about a month and then called and told them that I wanted my contact voided because they weren't providing the service they promised. If you are questioning the phone we had or the service plan it was a top of the line nokia with the national plan. They were kewl with the cancel and even gave me the past month for free. So I'm sure you will be able to do the same. I've got just one word for you Version (that?s if you have it in your area).

That phone is a wonderful phone, and to reduce size, there is a smaller battery pack. I had that phone for a year and a half. (if you drive a 95-97 ford contour, it WILL fit perfectly into the armrest container, you don't need to takout the cds.) Every call went through, but that was ~2-3 years ago. Now, the neworks are overloaded.

SprintPCS service is SOO bad in Ann Arbor Michigan, that there is a class action lawsuit against Sprint for claiming there was service here. Some defendents have even been offered HUGE minute plans for next to nothing (probally had to do with front page news coverage). Anyway Sprints coverage maps just plain suck, they should just let you know that if you are more than 5 miles from a major highway, or if it is rush hour, YOU WILL NOT have service.

oh yes, and customer service for defective merchandise is also terrible
