BB has a promo running a promo where you can get 1,000 anytime + unlimited nights and weekends (with no LD charges) for $45. I checked Sprint's site, and it's not listed, but if you check the BB ad online (I checked zip codes for both Phoenix and Seattle/Tacoma, and both show up) you'll be able to find it.

linky

Looks like it's time to give Sprint a call and change my plan :D

I think the 1000 minutes is a regional plan. I have the same thing but I can only call from NJ, NY and CT and NE some NE states....Mine is only $40 per month with no nights and weekends...not a big user so 1000 minutes is more than enuf for me even with no free nights and weekends...

Read the fine print!

You need Vision plan to get this deal. The first 2 months are free and $15 each month after that: 45 + 15= $60 per month for 1000 minutes.

No this is a legit plan but, it is regional(you can pay the $5/month to remove the region limitation) and it requires a 2 year commitment. That's the deal killer for me. I don't want to be tied ton anything for that long( except a car or house payment <grin>)

If you don't like Sprint, Nextel has a good deal going on right now in some markets.

Nextel National 1,000 plan.

1,000 anytime
unlimited n/w
unlimited dc
long distance
caller id
voice mail
$55 per month

There was a long list of regions this plan was in effect for. I don't have the list, but you can check by going to nextel.com and checking the service plans in your area by zip code.

Seems like some wireless carriers are dropping their prices a little and raising the amount of minutes that you get. This is a good thing.

Just called this in for NY, 1000 regional (ny,nj,ct,vt,ma) anytime, free long distance, unlimited pcs to pcs, 7pm off peak start time for $50. Add $5 per month to make this a nationwide if needed. 1st 2 months of vision free, cancel after that.

BB policy is that in order to get these deals you must be a NEW customer. It may not say it in the ad and some may get by, but I have tried numerous times and my local BB gigs me on their corporate policy. I think they have a sign made up just for me whenever they see me walk in the door that says "sorry you are not allowed to participate in any good deals...now go away"
As for the vision just cancel it after the free two months (used to be three) and you will not incur the charge. Here is a link to some cell forums where you can get all the inside knowedge.

BB contacts sprint to activate the phone. Sprint will detect if you are an existing customer and inform BB

BB contacts sprint to activate the phone. Sprint will detect if you are an existing customer and inform BB

BB has the ability to activate phones directly in the store so there is no need to contact Sprint to verify/check and see if you are an existing customer since they can tell directly. The problem arrises when you want to keep your same number. The only way you can get the BB rebate is if you open a new contract which you are then subject to all of the activation fees and you are forced into a new number. I have even tried calling Sprint and seeing if I could get my old number back if I activated a new account because of a deal that was offered by BB and all three of the CSR's I spoke with said no. If you go to either of the sites I provided in an earlier post they have numerous posts on how to get in conact with Sprint and negotiate a new deal either for a more minutes, free money towrds new equipment, or a simple monthly % discount. Sprint offers a ton of % discounts for various businesses. Some are upwards of 25%. Remember if you don't get what you want on the first call try again. Sprint is known to give different deals/discounts from one CSR to the next.

Good luck and have fun.

It was a matter of badgering them on how crappy my service was. I moved from miami to orlando and my service went to crap. I complained like crazy and eventually got them to put me through with this plan. I kept having problems and I finally got them to replace my Samsung N400 to a Sanyo 8100.
