I've had Sprint for quite awhile now, I'm outta contract. I've got the everything plan for $99 a month...
I use about 1400 minutes a month typically and use the crap outta my data plan on my htc touch pro, I use it for work a ton (self employed, google maps and mobile email are my friend)....

Sprint recently called me up to inform me i've been using a larger percentage of roaming minutes than what is allowed (My home is technically in a roaming area (US celluar) and I've been home more over the last couple of months alot more than normal as i usually am traveling all the time...all over the country...both driving and flying) and they said if I go over a certain percentage again, they are going to terminate my service and if they terminate my service I will lose my phone number......I need to keep this number as it is my business number.....
I'm positive I'm going to go over the amount this month as I'd already been at home using the phone for a couple of weeks before the call came about the termination.....

So anyway, what kind of plan exists out there with decent nationwide coverage that can give me unlimited data for a decent price

i'm moving to Florida in the next month or two but will still be traveling all over the country on a regular basis....

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.....all the plans I've looked at so far have 5gb caps on data....Is that just going to be something i'm stuck with or are their other options.

A Premptive thanks for any help or advice you guys can offer.

Sprint has no option for unlimited roaming or anything? I'm pretty sure AT&T does so I'm surprised if they do something somebody else doesn't =P Anyway, sprint is by far your cheapest option so if you can't get extended roaming minutes or something then you'll have to pay a bit more at T-mobile or the likes. I'm pretty sure the unlimited data plans at the other 3 big carriers are $30/month plus voice package.

Everybody has an unlimited data plan right now. You just have to decide who gives you the best value and acceptable coverage.
See for yourself.

Right now I am with Verizon, but I dont like what they are giving me for the money. Got tired of the expense and moved myself down to a voice-only plan to save money until my contract runs out.
Personally, I think Sprint is the best bang-for-the-buck if you want unlimited data. You should figure out a way to stick with them. Verizon has excellent coverage and service, but they charge too much considering how little I use it. I only talk for about 30 minutes a month, so my next phone will likely be a T-mobile with their low-end plan. Also, T-mobile doesnt gimp their phones like the other 3 big services.

If you're after coverage, go for Verizon & Sprint, If you're patient, TMobile for price, but you'll likely end up on edge service during some of your travels...

I stay with TMobile for the price & customer service.

If it is the roaming at your house that is killing you have you thought about an airwave? Call them up and they will likely give you the hardware as long as you pay the $5 or $10 a month fee.

Just remember Boost uses the Nextel network. Just FYI.
