The springdale chipset alone adds a huge performance boost over the old 845.
If you look at the basic average cost. The 2.4b retail costs about 160(newegg) dollars and the 2.4c retailcosts about 187 (googlegear). If you take a pair of 2700 for around 45 x2 dollars vs a pair of 3200 for around 58x2 dollars. The total price difference is 53 dollars.
For those budget minded you can see the only real performance gain for gaming is in quake 3, the rest doesn't see much change. Of course games are also gpu dependant.
My point being that even if you feel you can only swing a B processor running at 533.. your going to see almost the same level of performance.. which overall is a huge leap over the 845pe.
