No, no long exposures. I think only this one was taken with a tripod, but I don't remember. I only used a tripod once, for a panorama shot I want to stitch together later. I don't remember if that pic was part of it or not. I used Picasa, Photoshop CS, and Paint Shop Pro 7 for post-processing work. Picasa 2 has some pretty dang powerful color-correction tools!

For the pics on that page, the pictures were organized in Picasa 2, then I opened them in Photoshop CS, used the Auto Level filter, saved them, opened them in Paint Shop Pro 7, used the Unsharp Mask, resized 50%, and saved. I forgot to set the JPG quality so some of them are at 85% compression, but oh well. I finally figured out how to export individual edited pictures from Picasa 2 (select picture then press Shift+CTRL+S). I'm just going to use Picasa in the future for most of these basic snapshot-type photos. Picasa's color correct tools are just as good as Photoshop's for quick editing.

Proof that a good picture mainly depends on the photographer, and not the camera.

Great pics.

Yeah, I agree. It's partially the tools, but it's mostly the artist. I got my start in 3D computer graphics using a program called POV-Ray, a code-based 3D program. It's free, it's pretty easy to learn, and you can't do super-complex stuff without spending a lot of time with it. But, I made some really great images with it. You'd get laughed out of the room if you told a professional you used it, but like you said, it's mainly the 'photographer' and not the camera. Although...some tools...I used to have a thing called a JamCam, which took horrible 640x480 pictures...I think I got two semi-interesting shots worth keeping out it lol. Be creative and have fun, that's what I say 🙂

spring break is synonymous with chicks.. just like bachelor party is synonymous with strippers... come on now...
